Activity: Sport Rock Climbing for those who climb regularly or have previous experience.

Season: All year round.

Duration: half day (4 hours of Activity).

Level of difficulty: Open to everyone with some previous experience, either on rock or indoor wall. Climbings between grades 5+  and  6c+  (french grading)

Includes: Transport. Technical rock climbing equipment. Fully qualified English speaking instructor.

Not included: Climbing shoes. Snacks or light meals.


Program:

Transport from Bariloche to Piedras Blancas (White Rocks) in Mount Otto, 5 km (3 miles) from the city. In this site rock formation has steep walls with natural edges and good grip. Once there, we start the activity on different walls according to the participants climbing abilities: top roping along with ascents with anchors already fixed. Depending on climber´s interest, it is also possible to climb multi-pitch routes.

Optional for those climbing between 6b and 6c+: same kind of activity on the sport climbing area of Mount Ventana, located 10 km (6 ¼  miles) South from Bariloche. There, a more acrobatic climbing on sightly overhang walls prevails.

Once the activity is over, participants are driven back to Bariloche.

Clothing and equipment suggested: Day pack, jacket or storm shell, thermal pullover (fleece or similar), comfortable pants (shorts, tights or jogging pants), light-weight and comfortable shoes.
