Itinerary:
Day
1:
We set off from Bariloche and approximately at 10am we start our
horse ride towards Sisto Martinez's summer grazing field, passing
by Lake Repentino. This ride runs along the Valley of Cuyin Manzano
River until its confluence with Quemados´ Creek. Going through cypress
and lenga forests, we will ascend to a high altitude marshland (1,600
m) where we will camp out.
Daily horseride: 5 to 6 hours
Day
2:
Ascent towards Saihueque Mount, La Ollada's countryside post and
ride back to our campsite. On this day we will reach 2,000 m altitude
where you can find permanent snow and animals such as deer and cattle
that, during summer, graze in the high altitude marshlands. We will
be riding through ñire and lenga forests and have the chance to
see odd land formations such as La Ollada´s post, and rocky canyons
over Los Quemados´ Creek.
Daily horseride: 6 hours.
Day 3:
Horse
ride back to the valley. The way back will run by the other riverbank
to have a good view of a different landscape and take a close look
at everyday life of Cuyin Manzano´s local people.
Daily horseride: 4 hours
Includes: Horses with
full "criollo" saddle and trappings, harnesses, cargo equipment,
tents, sleeping pads, first aid kits, VHF radio equipment, professional
English speaking team guides and all full meals during horse ride,
