Transfers:

The vehicles we use for transport are Land Rover Defender, Vans Sprinter type or similar, all duly licensed. All vehicles have VHF radio though its range may be limited, and mobile phones to increase communication possibilities.






Accommodation:
Even if some programs specifically include accommodation, you can request to change it according to your preferences. In that case, the request must be made with due anticipation as well as payment, if necessary.

Camping: We provide participants with 2 - 3 person tents, sleeping pads, full camping cooking kit and individual ware for each. Sleeping bags are not included. As far as possible bungalow tents for dinning will be available. Depending on the characteristics of each place we can have hot water and toilets. It will be specified in each program.


Mountain Huts:
Frey mountain hut - Catedral:
Emilio Frey hut (1,700 m over sea level) is located at the bottom of the Frey spire, on the edge of cold-green-water Toncek Lagoon and surrounded by rocky towers and spires. On hut's ground floor there is a kitchen and a wide dinning room with a firewood stove and, on the first floor the bedrooms with mattresses, blankets and pillows. The hut can comfy accommodate 40 persons. Plain and hot meals are served and the place has electricity, central heating, hot water all day long and telephone. Frey hut is opened all year round. For moderate prices trekkers can accommodate, have hot meals and snacks, use the hut kitchen and toilets and buy from the kiosk

San Martín or Jakob lake mountain hut:
It is located on the left (North) edge of Jakob Lagoon (1,600 m over sea level). This hut can accommodate 100 persons, has two big bedrooms with 50 couches, plus blankets and rugs. The place has toilets with no hot water and no electricity. In the dinning - kitchen room there is a firewood stove. During summer season the man in charge of the hut provides meals and beverages.


Meiling mountain hut - mount Tronador:
This high altitude hut (2,000 m over sea level) is located on the mount hillside between Castaño Overo and Alerce Glaciers. Built in reinforced concrete and wood, Meiling hut has a big dinning -kitchen room, toilets and two bedrooms on the first floor and can accommodate 60 persons. There you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner and hire a guide for excursions as well as ski equipments.


Neumeyer mountain hut - Challhuaco valley:
Located deep into the Nahuel Huapi National Reserve, it is a 18-km drive from San Carlos de Bariloche right to the hut. The hut has firewood stoves, electricity, kitchen prepared to serve up to 60 meals, men and ladies toilets with hot water showers and bedrooms for 45 persons (sheets and blankets, if required). It also has table games, musical instruments and library. Visitors can use the kitchen, tables, benches and grille to prepare and have quick meals. At lunch and dinnertime you can have typical mountain-style main courses and light meals as well as exquisite teas with cakes and pancakes.

Meals:
During the excursions the types of meal served depend on each program: it can be "asados" (barbecues), stews, main courses (at huts). If so required, vegetarian meals or special diets can be prepared for all programs. As a general rule drinks are not included in program meals, except in those places where the beverage of your choice is not available. In that case juices and water will be served freely (for example when trekking).
For those meals not included in our programs and according to your preferences, our guides, coordinators and office staff can tell and suggest you the best gastronomic option. Downtown restaurants offer a great variety of menus for your choice.



Outdoor Equipment:
For those programs described and offered in which specific technical gear is required, you have the chance to hire it in Bariloche, at Patagonia outdoors - Outdoor Store. In our store you can hire: plastic boots, gaiters, crampons, ice axes, snowshoes, harnesses, helmets, cross-country skis. For the right choice of equipment you can rely on our advice and eventually hire it in our premises .
